Siswoo R9 Darkmoon’s front screen is a 5.5-inch IPS display with a display resolution of 1920 x 1080 pixels while its innovative rear display is a 5-inch e-ink screen with a resolution of 960 x 540 pixels. While the front IPS display I used for regular smartphone use, the e-ink display is perfect for reading e-books, notifications, and other similar functions. Both screens are protected by Corning’s Gorilla Glass 3.
The new smartphone features a simple full metal unibody design that measures around 152 x 77.7 x 8.9mm. It also features a 1.7GHz MediaTek MTK6752 64-bit octa-core processor, 3GB of RAM, 32GB of internal storage, and a 3,000mAh battery. Its front camera is a fixed-focus 8-megapixel shooter while the rear camera features a 13-megapixel sensor, autofocus, and an LED flash.
As for connectivity, Siswoo R9 Darkmoon supports dual-SIM standby, 4G LTE, NFC, and Qi wireless charging. Bluetooth 4.0 and WiFi connectivity are also expected to be supported. No information on the R9 Darkmoon’s pricing or launch date have been released at the moment.
